NSAB members are invited to join NSAB Connect. NSAB Connect is a members-only discussion group for sharing your research progress and concerns, as well as hearing from others about their experiences. It’s an opportunity for mutual learning as we delve into researching of our ancestors from Arabic-speaking countries.

May 2025 NSAB Connect Discussion Focus: Language & Language Barriers.

Are language barriers in Arabic slowing down your family history research? You might be fluent in Arabic but find yourself facing documents in Ottoman Turkish, French, or Hebrew that you can’t easily read. Who do you turn to for translations? Does AI help bridge the gap?

Join us for our May 2025 NSAB Connect as we discuss language challenges in genealogy. Share your experiences, learn from others, and explore solutions to overcome these barriers. We’d love to hear your ideas!

Even though a month may have a discussion focus, there will still be time for other topic discussions and for participants to share research updates and interests. NSAB Connect will be held every other month. Members will receive a log in email the day prior to the event.
